Why Your Workiz Account Looks Empty After Login

The Workiz team login is available through the web application at app.workiz.com and the official mobile app. When the password works but the workspace contains no clients, jobs, dashboard data, or familiar tools, check the company workspace, user role, and job assignments before resetting the password again.

This independent guide is not affiliated with Workiz.

Workiz is field service management software for scheduling technicians, dispatching work, managing customers, creating invoices, collecting payments, and coordinating service operations.

Start With the Symptom

Workiz access problems fall into two broad groups.

An authentication problem stops the user before entry. Examples include a rejected password, a missing recovery email, or a one-time passcode that never arrives.

An account-access problem begins after a successful login. The user enters Workiz but sees an empty schedule, missing clients, an unfamiliar workspace, or fewer controls than a manager.

Do not use the same fix for both.

A password reset may resolve rejected credentials. It will not assign a technician to a job, expose an administrator-only setting, or move a user into the correct company workspace.

This distinction should be the first troubleshooting decision because it prevents unnecessary password changes and mobile-app reinstalls.

Use the Correct Workiz Login

Workiz instructs desktop users to open app.workiz.com, enter their username and password, select Log in, and provide a one-time passcode when requested. Mobile users download the Workiz application from Appleโ€™s App Store or Google Play and follow the same credential and passcode sequence.

Use the authentication method associated with the existing profile. Workiz also documents Google and Facebook login options, but the presence of those buttons does not mean every company profile is connected to them.

A user can create confusion by selecting a different Google account or starting a new registration flow. The resulting workspace may open normally while showing no company clients or jobs.

Stop there.

Ask the company administrator which email address and sign-in method belong to the established profile. Do not create another account merely because the first method fails.

The official mobile listings describe Workiz as an application for reviewing daily jobs, managing field operations, handling administrative work, and coordinating communication between technicians and customers. Available functions may differ according to the business account and the permissions given to each user.

Why Workiz Opens With No Jobs

An empty schedule can occur even when the user has entered the correct account.

The technician may not have been assigned to current jobs. The employeeโ€™s role may limit visibility to assigned work. A date or status filter may hide records. The company may also have created the user in another workspace.

Start with one specific appointment rather than the entire schedule.

Ask the dispatcher to confirm:

  1. The job exists in Workiz.
  2. The correct date and status are attached.
  3. The affected technician is assigned.
  4. The user has entered the intended company workspace.
  5. No schedule filter is excluding the job.

This sequence produces a clearer answer than reinstalling the application. If a dispatcher sees a job but the intended technician does not, the assignment and role configuration deserve attention first.

Workiz is built around scheduling and dispatch, including the assignment and tracking of work orders across a field-service team. Different user views are therefore expected when companies separate office and technician responsibilities.

Why the Client List Is Missing

Workiz defines the Clients page as the area in the left sidebar that provides an overview of customers stored in the account. The company separately defines the Client Portal as a customer-facing page used to review and pay estimates or invoices.

These two destinations are easy to confuse.

An employee needs access to the business workspace and any client permissions assigned by the administrator. A customer normally enters through a portal link supplied by the service company.

The Workiz Client Portal lets customers review appointments, approve estimates and jobs, pay invoices, and view payment history. It is not the internal client-management screen used by office employees.

If a technician sees jobs but no broader client directory, check the userโ€™s role before assuming that records were deleted. The account may be intentionally configured to expose only information connected to assigned work.

Skip a password reset. Authentication has already succeeded.

Reset a Forgotten Workiz Password

A user who cannot enter the account should select Forgot password? on the Workiz login page, enter the login email address, and choose RESET PASSWORD. Workiz sends instructions when the address matches a user in its system.

Use the exact email stored in the user profile.

Employees often check a personal inbox while the company created the Workiz profile with a business address. Other users have changed company domains or lost access to an old mailbox. In either case, requesting more reset messages will not fix the destination.

Review spam, quarantine, and automated-message folders before submitting another request. Corporate email filters can delay password messages, and several requests may produce multiple emails that arrive out of order.

An authorized manager can also initiate another employeeโ€™s reset. Workiz documents the route as profile icon > Manage team, followed by the affected user and Actions > Reset password. The employee then receives an email link for setting the replacement password.

The manager does not need to know the employeeโ€™s current password.

Update an Incorrect Login Email

When the login email is obsolete or misspelled, a user with the required permission can update it from the team memberโ€™s profile.

Workiz says this function requires the User settings permission. The authorized user opens the profile, changes the Email field, and confirms the update. Workiz then sends a password-reset link, which the affected person must use to complete the change.

The profile edit alone is incomplete.

This produces a common failure pattern: the administrator changes the visible email address, and the employee immediately attempts to sign in with it. The required password-reset step has not been completed yet.

Open the message sent to the updated address, create the replacement password, and then attempt normal login.

When an administrator cannot find the email field or confirmation control, inspect that administratorโ€™s permissions. Workiz explicitly limits the feature to roles with User settings enabled.

Workiz One-Time Passcode Not Arriving

Two-factor authentication adds a one-time passcode after the username and password stage. Workiz also uses one-time passcodes for sensitive actions involving Workiz Pay, including changes to a bank account, instant-payout settings, or a statement descriptor.

A code screen after login does not always mean the session failed. The user may have entered a protected payment setting.

For login-code trouble, check:

  • The phone or email associated with the user
  • Whether the mobile number can receive text messages
  • Whether the user recently changed numbers
  • Whether company email filtering delayed the message
  • Whether the code request followed a login or a sensitive account action

Do not keep changing the password when Workiz has already advanced to the passcode screen. Focus on the verification destination.

Never provide the code to a coworker, manager, or caller. Enter it only into the authenticated Workiz process that requested it.

Workiz updated its 2FA documentation in April 2026, so administrators should rely on the current Help Center instructions rather than an older screenshot or training document.

Why Dashboard Information Is Absent

The Workiz dashboard contains widgets intended to show business operations and job performance.

That does not mean every user receives identical dashboard access.

A company owner may need broad performance data. A dispatcher may require scheduling information. A field technician may need only assigned work and customer details related to the current appointment.

When a user can log in but sees limited dashboard information, compare the assigned role with another employee who has the expected access. Compare actual Workiz roles rather than informal titles.

Two people may both be described as dispatchers while holding different account permissions.

Do this before clearing browser data. A private window can help with a page-loading problem, but it cannot grant authorization that the account does not have.

Customer Portal or Team Workspace?

Customers do not normally need the internal team login to review a Workiz estimate or invoice.

The Workiz Client Portal allows a businessโ€™s customers to review and approve estimates, approve jobs, pay balances, manage appointments, and view previous services. The relevant portal link is supplied through the service companyโ€™s communication with that customer.

Opening the generic portal address without a customer-specific destination can lead to a page stating that the requested webpage cannot be found.

That message is not evidence that the entire Workiz platform is unavailable.

Customers should return to the original invoice, estimate, email, or text and use the complete link. When the link has expired or no longer resolves, the service business should resend the document.

Employees should return to the team web application instead of entering company credentials on a customer page.

Web Works but the Mobile App Does Not

Testing the same profile on two platforms can narrow the fault.

When browser access works, the username, password, and account are likely valid. Update the mobile app through the official store, close it completely, reopen it, and test another network.

When mobile access works but the browser does not, open a private browsing window and try another current browser. An extension, stale session, or saved credential may be interfering with the page.

When both platforms reject the login, inspect the stored email, password, authentication method, and one-time passcode delivery.

When both platforms open but show the same limited information, inspect the role, workspace, and assignments.

The mobile app is designed to support job review, communications, scheduling, invoicing, and payment processing, but the exact toolset depends on the companyโ€™s Workiz configuration.

Change one variable at a time. Otherwise, the successful fix will not reveal the original cause.

Contact Workiz Support

Workiz says the easiest and quickest support route is the chat bubble in the lower-right corner of its Help Center or web application. The company also publishes support@workiz.com and (855) 790-7363 for customer support.

Prepare a compact report containing:

  • Company or workspace name
  • Affected userโ€™s name
  • Web, iPhone, or Android
  • Authentication method
  • Exact visible error
  • Approximate time of failure
  • Whether the reset email arrived
  • Whether the passcode arrived
  • One missing job or client example
  • Whether coworkers have the same issue

Do not include passwords, one-time codes, complete payment-card information, banking credentials, or private customer documents.

Report the failed stage precisely. โ€œThe password is rejectedโ€ is different from โ€œthe login succeeds, but no assigned jobs appear.โ€

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Workiz web login?

Use app.workiz.com.

Why is my Workiz account empty?

You may have entered another workspace, used a duplicate profile, received limited permissions, or have no jobs assigned to your user. Ask the administrator to compare your workspace, role, and assignments.

How do I reset my Workiz password?

Select Forgot password?, enter the login email, and follow the instructions sent by Workiz.

Can my manager reset my password?

An authorized manager can initiate a reset from Manage team. You receive the link and set the new password.

Why does my updated email not work?

Workiz requires the recipient to use the emailed password-reset link before the login-email change is complete.

Is the Workiz Client Portal the employee dashboard?

No. It is a customer-facing area for estimates, invoices, appointments, approvals, and payments.

Why did Workiz request another passcode?

Two-factor authentication can require an OTP for login and for sensitive Workiz Pay changes involving bank accounts, instant payouts, or statement descriptors.

Where can I get Workiz support?

Use the Help Center or web-app chat bubble. Workiz also publishes an official support email and phone number.

When entry fails, work through the login email, authentication method, password, and passcode. When entry succeeds but information is missing, move directly to the workspace, assignments, and permissions.
