Workiz team members can sign in at app.workiz.com with a username and password or an account connected through Google or Facebook. Users with two-factor authentication enabled must also enter a verification code sent to their phone or email.
This independent guide is not affiliated with Workiz.
Workiz is field service management software for businesses that schedule jobs, dispatch technicians, manage customers, prepare invoices, and coordinate service operations.
Identify the Workiz Error Before Changing Anything
Workiz problems that look similar may have entirely different causes.
A rejected password is an authentication problem. A verification screen with no incoming code is a 2FA delivery problem. A successful login followed by an empty schedule or missing Feature Center is usually related to the workspace, job assignment, role, or permission settings.
Do not reset everything.
Changing the password, reinstalling the mobile app, clearing the browser, and editing the employee profile at the same time makes the original fault harder to identify. Record where the process stops, then test one cause at a time.
Use this order:
- Confirm the correct Workiz page.
- Confirm the login email and authentication method.
- Test password recovery when needed.
- Verify the 2FA destination.
- Confirm the company workspace.
- Review jobs, roles, and permissions.
The distinction matters because a password reset cannot make a restricted feature appear. Likewise, changing a role will not repair an incorrect password.
Use the Correct Workiz Login Method
Workiz documents three authentication methods: a username and password, Google authentication, and Facebook authentication. Use the method already associated with the company profile.
The presence of a Google button does not mean every Workiz account was created through Google. Selecting the wrong Google identity may begin another account flow or open a workspace without the employer’s clients and jobs.
Stop when that happens.
Do not create a second profile merely because the first login attempt failed. A duplicate account can open normally but appear empty, leading the user to think company data has disappeared.
Ask the account administrator to confirm the exact email and sign-in method assigned to the employee. Do this first, and skip registration until the existing account has been checked.
For mobile access, install the Workiz app through Apple’s App Store or Google Play. The official app supports daily job review, field administration, and communication between technicians and customers, although visible tools depend on the company’s configuration.
Reset a Forgotten Workiz Password
Select Forgot password? on the Workiz login page, enter the account’s login email, and choose RESET PASSWORD. Workiz sends instructions when the entered address matches an account in its system.
Use the exact address stored in the employee profile.
A worker may have a personal email, a current company address, an older business address, and a Google account. Only the email linked to the Workiz user receives the password-reset message. Workiz confirms that the profile email is used for login and for password-reset links.
Check spam, quarantine, and automated-message folders before requesting another reset. Corporate mail systems can delay software-generated messages.
Wait a little.
Submitting several requests may produce multiple messages that arrive out of order. That creates another layer of confusion and can send the employee back through an older recovery attempt.
An administrator can initiate another user’s reset from profile icon > Manage team, followed by the affected user and Actions > Reset password. The team member receives an email link for setting the replacement password.
The administrator does not need the old password.
Fix an Incorrect Workiz Login Email
A password reset cannot reach a mailbox that no longer exists.
Workiz allows an authorized user to update the Email field in a team member’s profile. This option is available only when the administrator’s role includes the User settings permission.
The edit is not the end of the process.
After the administrator confirms the change, Workiz sends a password-reset link. The affected user must update the password to complete the login-email change.
This creates a frequent wrong turn: the manager edits the address and immediately tells the technician to sign in with the new email. The employee has not yet completed the required reset stage.
Open the message first. Set the replacement password. Then try the updated login.
When the administrator cannot see the email option, check that person’s role rather than assuming Workiz removed the setting. A different account administrator may need to perform the update.
Workiz Verification Code Not Arriving
Workiz 2FA requires a verification code in addition to the password. Its current documentation says the code can be sent by text message or email.
Check these items:
- The phone number saved on the user profile
- The email configured for verification
- Whether the phone can receive text messages
- Whether the employee recently changed numbers
- Whether company mail filtering delayed the code
The verification screen provides a clue. The user has normally moved past the initial password stage, so another password reset may not address the failure.
Focus on code delivery.
Workiz says the phone number in a user profile is used for one-time passcodes and must be able to receive text messages. It also notes that users with access to sensitive settings may need another passcode before making changes.
Do not send the code to a manager, coworker, or caller. Enter it only into the Workiz screen that requested it.
Why Workiz Opens but Shows No Jobs
A blank or incomplete schedule is not automatically a login error.
Workiz permits companies to limit users to jobs assigned specifically to them. Its documentation explains that field technicians do not always need visibility into work assigned to other team members.
Ask the dispatcher to inspect one specific job and confirm:
- The job exists.
- The date and status are correct.
- The affected technician is assigned.
- The user is in the correct company workspace.
- The role is restricted to assigned jobs.
- No schedule filter is hiding the record.
Workiz allows jobs to be created before a technician is assigned, so the appointment may exist in the company account without appearing for the worker expected to receive it.
Check the assignment first. Skip password recovery because authentication has already succeeded.
A useful support report identifies one missing appointment and one affected user. “My schedule is empty” provides less diagnostic value than a specific job visible to the dispatcher but absent from the assigned technician’s screen.
Why Feature Center or Settings Are Missing
Workiz uses roles and permissions to determine which account tools a person can access. Administrators can customize existing roles and create new ones.
A missing Feature Center icon can mean the role lacks Account Settings permission. Workiz gives that explanation in its documentation for Service Areas, Custom Documents, and Custom Fields.
This is a permission issue, not proof of a broken browser.
Check the employee’s role before clearing cookies or reinstalling the app. Compare the affected user with a coworker who holds the same Workiz role, not merely the same informal job title.
Two technicians may have different permission sets.
The account administrator should grant only the access required for the person’s responsibilities. Broad administrator privileges should not be used as a quick repair for one missing tool.
Why the Dashboard Looks Different
Workiz’s dashboard contains widgets that display business and job-performance information. The company also states that different dashboard experiences may currently be available as a newer version is rolled out.
A tutorial or coworker’s screen may therefore look different even when both accounts are functioning.
Roles can create another layer of variation. One user may have broad dashboard access, while another sees only the scheduling or operational information required for that position.
Do not judge account health by appearance alone.
Confirm the dashboard version, workspace, and permissions before treating a changed layout as missing data. This is particularly important when an employee can still open assigned jobs and complete normal tasks.
Employee Workspace or Client Portal?
The Workiz Client Portal is intended for customers of businesses that use Workiz. Customers can view and approve estimates, pay invoices, approve jobs, and manage service-related information.
Full portal access depends on the unique link supplied by the service business. Workiz automatically includes that portal link when certain estimates or invoices are sent.
Customers should not search for a universal employee login. Employees should not use a customer invoice link as their company workspace.
Opening the generic Client Portal address without the required customer-specific path currently produces a page-not-found message.
That message does not mean all of Workiz is unavailable.
Return to the original estimate, invoice, email, or text and use the complete link. When it no longer works, ask the service company to resend the document.
Browser and Mobile Troubleshooting
Compare the same account on web and mobile before escalating.
When the browser works but the app fails, update the mobile app through its official store, close it completely, reopen it, and test another network.
When mobile works but the browser fails, open a private window and test another current browser. A stored session, extension, or incorrect saved login may be interfering.
When both reject the user, inspect the login identity, password, and 2FA destination.
When both open with the same missing tools, inspect the workspace, jobs, role, and enabled features.
Change one variable at a time. Record the exact message before clearing data. “Incorrect credentials,” a page that will not load, and a missing navigation icon point in different directions.
Contact Workiz Support Safely
Workiz identifies the chat bubble in the lower-right corner of its Help Center or web application as its easiest and quickest support route. The company also publishes support@workiz.com and (855) 790-7363.
During some support interactions, Workiz may ask the user to generate a one-time support PIN for identity verification, especially by phone.
That support PIN is not the password or login verification code.
Include these details in a support request:
- Company workspace name
- Affected user
- Web, iPhone, or Android
- Exact error wording
- Approximate time of failure
- Whether the reset email arrived
- Whether the 2FA code arrived
- One missing job or feature
- Troubleshooting already completed
Do not include passwords, login codes, complete card details, banking credentials, or private client records.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Workiz login page?
Use app.workiz.com.
Can I sign in to Workiz with Google?
Yes. Workiz supports Google and Facebook authentication, along with username and password. Use the method linked to the existing profile.
Why is my password-reset email missing?
You may be checking a different mailbox from the login email stored in the Workiz user profile. Confirm the address with the account administrator and inspect filtered folders.
Why can I see only a few jobs?
Your role may be limited to jobs assigned directly to you. The dispatcher should confirm the job assignment and your current role.
Why is the Feature Center missing?
The role may lack Account Settings permission. Ask an administrator to review the relevant Roles & Permissions configuration.
Is the Client Portal the employee login?
No. It is a customer-facing area reached through a unique estimate or invoice link.
Why does my dashboard differ from a coworker’s?
Workiz may show different dashboard experiences during its current rollout, and roles can further limit which information appears.
What should I send Workiz support?
Provide the workspace name, affected user, platform, precise error, time, and troubleshooting results. Keep passwords and verification codes private.
For a failed login, check the identity, password, and 2FA destination. Once the account opens, move to job assignments, workspace selection, and permissions rather than starting recovery again.
